If you are not able to copy the ex4 or ex5 files (based on the instrument that you are using ex4 -> MetaTrader 4 and ex5 -> MetaTrader 5), here it is a guide that will teach you how to do it using the Finder Application on your Mac.
"Remember that Magic Keys is compatible with MacOS 11.5 or greater."
First of all you need to open the "home" folder of your Mac. You can do it like it is shown in the below picture or by using the CMD + Shift + H keys on your keyboard.
After that a folder like the one shown below should be opened in your Mac.
At this point you need to activate the hidden file. To do that you need to:
1. Press Command + Shift + . (the period key). This will show hidden files in the folder.
2. To hide the files again, press Command + Shift + . again (you can do this later if you don't want them to be shown)
If you have done it correctly a folder called "Library" should now appear in a light blue.
Now you need to access to this "Library" folder by double clicking on it. And using the search bar you need to search for "metatrader". Make sure that the search is done inside the "Library" folder and not globally on your Mac, to do so you need to click on "Library" like shown in the second picture below.
At this point the configuration is easy and you can follow the same path that is shown in the video. First you open your MetaTrader 4 or 5 folder, after that you goes on MQL4 or MQL5, then you search for the Expert folder and here it is your final destination.
So summing things up this is the path that you need to follow:
- Metatrader(4/5) -> MQL(4/5) -> Experts
Inside this folder "Experts" you can copy the ex4 or ex5 files that you can find inside the folder that you have download from our website. If you restart your MetaTrader, Magic Keys should appear in the Expert sections of it and it's ready to be used!
