In this article, we will teach you how to resolve the "No Device" status or "Connected" status with unresponsive buttons issues.
No Device
If you see the "No Device" status in our application, it means that the software is not able to communicate with Magic Keys. Here are some common steps you can take to verify the communication between the two:
- Ensure the device is fully charged: Check that your Magic Keys device has sufficient battery power.
- Check software version compatibility: Make sure you are using the correct software version for your device. (V1 and V2 Magic Keys use a different software version than the V3 model.)
- Move the device closer to the receiver: Ensure that your Magic Keys device is within a close range of its receiver.
- Try a different USB port: Change the USB port where the receiver is connected to your computer.
If none of these steps help you achieve the "connected" status in our application, please contact our customer support at contact@magickeys.trade. We will provide further assistance with this matter.
Connected With Unresponsive Buttons (V3 only)
If you instead have the "Connected" status but no buttons seems to respond when being pressed you should try the rebinding procedure. Here it is a video showing the binding procedure:
- Close magic keys app
- Unplug the wireless receiver
- Make sure device is on and press PARTIAL SL and ENTER at the same time. If done correctly, the green led in the top right corner will start flashing
- While it is flashing, plug in the receiver
- Unplug the receiver again
- Plug it back in
- Open the app and see if it is connected and test the keys
(like with Open Calc in the this example)
